Love, Joy, Peace...

We are children of God, disciples of Jesus Christ who feel called to a ministry of transformation through stewardship. We are sojourners who, along with many others, have some sense that it is through an understanding of holistic stewardship and a practice of gratitude and generosity that we will grow spiritually, that we will grow more and more into the likeness of the loving, generous God in whose image we are created. We believe that it is by virtue of our baptism that we are called to this ministry of stewardship.

Stewardship is about being grateful, responsible stewards of the gifts we receive from God. The tradition of giving back to God and to the church comes from the Biblical practice of “tithing,” which means to give back a tenth of our earnings to God (Numbers 18:26). The Episcopal Church sees stewardship as more than simply contributing money to the church; it’s also about contributing time and talents and volunteering for ministry and mission. It’s about reaching out to build relationships from a perspective of abundance instead of scarcity.

"Time, Talent, and Treasure" is a framework highlighting the three primary resources people manage: Time (irreplaceable hours), Talent (unique skills/abilities), and Treasure (money/possessions). It's a principle encouraging wise use of these gifts for personal growth, community support, and spiritual purposes, suggesting that everyone can contribute uniquely through their finite time, God-given skills, and material resources.

Time:
The most precious, finite resource. It's about how you spend your 24 hours—prayer, rest, family, service, work—and prioritizing eternal values.

Talent:
Your unique skills, abilities, and expertise, whether professional (doctoring, advising) or personal (cooking, organizing, caring for others).

Treasure:
Material wealth, money, and possessions, used for supporting causes, the needy, or one's own life.

A philosophy of generosity and responsibility, recognizing that every individual has something valuable to give, whether it's their presence (Time), their expertise (Talent), or their financial support (Treasure).
